Legal
Terms
Written in plain English by the person who does the work, because a page of legalese to buy a $597 website is its own kind of warning sign. Nothing here limits your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or the Fair Trading Act 1986 — where those disagree with anything below, they win.
Who you are dealing with
- Ronny is a trading division of Babasi Enterprises, a New Zealand business, NZBN 9429053792334.
- Contact: hi@ronny.co.nz or 022 513 1224.
- We are not registered for GST, so no GST is charged or claimable on anything we invoice. Every price we publish is the total.
- All prices are in New Zealand dollars.
The free build
- We will build a complete website on your business at no cost and send you a private link. There is nothing to sign and no card required.
- We aim to have it with you within 24 hours of your request. If we are going to miss that, we will tell you rather than go quiet.
- The site is unlisted and marked so search engines do not index it. It is not public until you buy it.
- If you do not want it, tell us and we take it down and delete it. You owe nothing, and we will not contact you about it again unless you ask us to.
- We do not limit how many of these we do, and we do not publish a countdown. If we ever run out of capacity we will switch the offer off rather than invent a queue.
Buying the website
- The one-off price covers the site as you saw it, put live on your domain, with hosting, certificate and deployment handled, the contact form wired to your inbox, and a handover pack.
- The domain is registered in your name and stays in your name whatever happens between us. If you do not have one, we register one for you and cover the first year.
- Connecting a domain you already own does not affect your existing email. We change only the records that point at the website.
- The finished site is yours. There is no licence to renew, no platform to stay subscribed to, and nothing that stops working if you never speak to us again.
- Copy, photographs and logos you give us stay yours. The code we write for your site becomes yours on payment. We keep the right to show the finished site as an example of our work unless you ask us not to, which you may do at any time, in one line, with no reason.
Monthly things
- Anything monthly can be cancelled at any time from the billing portal or by emailing us. Cancelling stops the next payment; it does not take your website down.
- Care includes hosting, certificate and domain management, small content changes on request, backups, and uptime and security monitoring.
- "Small content changes" means text, prices, photos, hours, a new service page. Rebuilding the site, or building something that is on the catalogue as its own module, is separate work and we will price it before doing it.
- If we put a price up, existing customers keep the old one for at least twelve months from the date we tell them.
The packs
- Each pack is the modules listed on its page, at ten percent less than those modules cost separately. Nothing is hidden in it and nothing is left out of it.
- A pack that includes monthly items is a subscription for those items only. The one-off part is charged once.
- You can cancel the monthly part of a pack the same way as anything else monthly. The one-off work already delivered is not refunded, because it has been done.
What you get at each level of monthly spend
These are commitments, not marketing. They are listed here so they can be held to.
- $249 a month or more: TUNE — the full speed and accessibility pass, evidenced
- $449 a month or more: The Quarterly — a 30-minute review call, four times a year
- $649 a month or more: CREST — logo and brand basics
- $849 a month or more: Front of queue — same-day response, written into terms
Refunds
- You see the finished website before you pay, so there is very little room for a nasty surprise — which is most of the reason we work this way.
- If we have taken your money and not delivered what this page says we would, tell us and we will refund it. We are not going to make you argue.
- Work already delivered is not refundable, and neither is third-party cost we have paid on your behalf — a domain registration, an ad spend, a print run.
- Nothing here displaces your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act.
What we cannot promise
- We cannot promise a position in Google. Nobody can, and anyone who does is either guessing or lying.
- We cannot promise you more work. We can promise the site is fast, works on a phone, and is measurable — and you can check every one of those yourself.
- We do not quote what you are losing, or what you will gain. We do not have your numbers, and any figure we produced would be invented.
- Third parties we rely on — payment, hosting, email delivery, Google — can go down. When they do we will tell you what happened.
If it goes wrong
- Email hi@ronny.co.nz or ring 022 513 1224. One person reads both and will reply within one business day.
- These terms are governed by New Zealand law and the New Zealand courts.
- Except where the Consumer Guarantees Act says otherwise, our total liability for anything connected with the work is limited to what you paid us for it.
